Neo is the son of ’24 World Winner Zoldmali Aqua  and ’18 World Winner Zoldmali Serleg. He himself became ’24 Junior World Winner. So he is quite well put together, coming from beautiful examples of the breed. But for us, beauty is always secondary, as that is more subjective. What more matters (besides health) is the temperament, that should be true to breed type and more. We don’t want average, we want the very best and we breed from the very best! We want high performance dogs, who are easy to train, have high co-operation, has a switch-on/switch-off button, who have strong natural abilities and desire to work. We aim to breed dogs, who take pressure well (that comes with training for tests, competitions or just for high standards) and because we start training our dogs at quite an early age, we also want to see results at quite an early age. Male dogs are usually slower maturing. This was the case with Neo as well. First I didn’t think Neo was more than just average. He showed great natural abilities (pointing, retrieving, love for water) but sometimes seemed more lazy and less independent, even though he had a long list of the very best Field Trial and Versatile Champions behind him in bloodlines. (7 generations of work champions on the mother’s side, and my Henna DDSH being great grandma on the father’s side, also carries several generations of Field Trial champions). I just had him enjoy the 1st hunting season and do what he wanted (when he was 8-10 months old). His natural abilities all showed off, but I was still missing that unstoppable crazy hunter. Now I know, he was just doing all that growing at those times, and didn’t have much more energy for anything else (that’s why boys are later maturing). But when I started to prepare him for the tests in spring, he just started to become more and more the dog I was hoping him to become. He passed the Natural Ability Test at 1 year with max score (but that’s easy- says a perfectionist), than went on to do the next level 2 weesks later, the VAV and than passed the highest level, the VMV (Field and Water Test) at 14,5 months of age in 1st prize. I would say, about 2 weeks before the test, just everything seems to click in and he showed some great work and working ethics. I truly enjoy working him. He is a kind natured dog, who wants to please so much. He tries hard to do everything I ask, and even works for my 3,5 years old son. He has a big heart and is a calm dog in the everydays. He doesn’t need strong hands, just praisal and encouraging.
