ABOUT ZSÁLYA

Zöldmáli Zsálya is a true blessing to have in our kennel. She is one of those special dogs where everything seems to come together: the beauty and gentle nature of her mother, combined with the extraordinary passion and working drive of her father. For us, Zsálya represents a wonderful balance of character, beauty, and genuine working ability — and we are incredibly excited about what the future holds for her.

Zsálya is the daughter of Irma and Extreme, and the sister of Zseton. Her father, Extreme, is a truly exceptional dog and one of the most accomplished Wirehaired Vizslas in working history. He became the first-ever pointing dog to earn both the International Field Trial & Versatile Work Champion title and the International Show & Beauty Champion title, completing this extraordinary combination of achievements before the age of 4. He is also one of the breed’s top-producing studs, leaving a remarkable legacy through his offspring. Mom, Irma was Wirehaired Vizsla of the Year in Hungary in 2022.

From her mother, Irma, Zsálya has inherited her beautiful expression, femininity and wonderfully kind character. From her father, she has taken a tremendous passion for work and natural hunting ability. It is a combination we could only dream of — and Zsálya truly brings the best of both parents together.

Her show career began with a spectacular first appearance. At just 9 months of age, at the Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla Annual Breed Specialty Show, Zsálya was awarded Junior Club Winner and Best Opposite Sex. On that same unforgettable day, her brother Zseton won Male Junior Club Winner and Best of Breed. Seeing both siblings achieve such outstanding results at their very first show was an incredibly proud moment for us.

Zsálya has also proven that she is much more than a beautiful show dog. Before reaching two years of age, she successfully passed the AV, VAV, VMV and ÖTV, demonstrating her versatility and natural working ability. She has also been awarded twice Excellent at International Field Trials on wild birds, and was group winner on the ‘25 Field Trial European Cup Derby, and overall 2nd, confirming that her strong hunting instincts translate beautifully into high-level field work.

Her achievements in the show ring continued alongside her working career. Zsálya became Hungarian Junior Champion and Hungarian Champion, completing both titles before the age of two.

Her health results are equally reassuring. Zsálya has been fully health tested and is clear of all tested genetic diseases, with excellent hips and elbows and clear OCD screening.

What makes Zsálya particularly valuable to us is not simply the collection of titles beside her name, but the complete package she represents: beauty, kindness, soundness, versatility and a genuine passion for work, backed by an exceptional dual-purpose pedigree.

She is still at the beginning of her journey, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for this very special girl. Zsálya is a great value to our breeding program, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have her as part of the Zöldmáli family.
